Most of these matches are
in the dim distant past now, but I didn't want to redo or just delete
these old reports, so I've linked them all in here. Ignore any links to
demos in these reports as they are all broken, and I didn't bother going
back over all this stuff to fix it up.

Screenshot buggered up on
dm1, just take it form me it wasn't nice anyways :)
|
Onto q2dm1, our worst level.
Well our tactical rethink seems to have worked as we did a great job,
although Cartman was a bit lost. This is only the second time hes played
with us so its to be expected. Nevertheless we did excellent work all
round with only one worrying point about 6mins from the end when SS
came back into it. Overall two very enjoyable games.
|
Onto dm1 and a server limit
of 8 meant I couldn't get on to watch it, by all accounts we didn't
play the best, but fair play to CBA, as you can see from the efficency
ratings they all did their stuff. Castor was his usual l33t self, almost
singlehandedly winning the level for us. DM1 is still a ropey level
for us though. |
20-6-99 : q2dm5
A class game here with us doing really well considering the fact we were up against 3 LPB's. This was our final warmup for our UKCCL match v N3D, who in the end didn't show. Bah, lucky them :) |
22-6-99 : q2dm3 Opps, another 3 LPB effort. We were holding them well until the last 6 mins, when Sil went on a railgun rampage as we lost quad control. Up to that we had lead to the half way point and kept in contention. We got hammered in the last 6 mins.
|
25-6-99 : q2dm3 Oh yes we'll play the current LPB champs and give them 3 LPBs :) Well, what sort of score did you expect? Considering some of the beating they are handing out in Div2 this isn't as bad as it looks. honest :)
|
01-07-99 : 173-171, HIV win q2dm1 q2dm3 Great games these, we did very poor at the beginning of dm1, then got stronger as we went along, I was lagged to hell, real slow-mo stuff and was a complete liability. Ah well, the level ended and I poped out and re-connected. The frag pipe was a different story, we grabbed control and always seemed to be a safe distance ahead. Spooks did play a weaker team here, which was disappointing as we really wanted a stronger test on this level.
|
12-07-99 : TRDM06 This was a good game, SS ran into a sizable lead but we fought back and took control of the level off them, with some excellent Quad running by Castor. SS then hit back and had an easy 5mins at the end where we ran around like headless chickens :) Seemed like I had a good midweek connection so I thought I'd ...... I shouldn't have joined in for the second, we seemed much more lagged here, with Castor and myself having real problems. Not surprisingly SS romped away for a big win. We had no real coordination in these games, with poor re-grouping when we lost control and no real syncronised attacks on Quad. Well we can only get better, we do tend to get beaten the first time we try out new levels and tactics.

15-7-99 - Q2DM6 Well, not having any practice on this for god knows how long we didn't expect to win it, but we also didn't expect to lose by so much. Nimrod started out getting the first 4 quads, and stopping our first quad run before it started. HOOD at this point had a good lead but we slowly started giving as good as we were getting at the Quad, with Castor & myself barely able to fend off Nimrod. With 8:30 left we had taken the score to 40-39, only 1 frag behind. Each clan was getting the quad every second time, so HOOD would pull out a small lead, we'd pull it back and so on for the next few minutes. JM was plugging away coming out as our best player, while Akira in his first game kept a steady rate of rail kills going for us, not allowing HOOD easy access to the rail area adn this helped greatly. With 5 mins left it was 55-45 to HOOD and I had just cleared out the Quad of a camping HOOD player and was ready to pick up the Quad when I got PJOD'ed ! Arrrrgh, even worst just as the diss was ending, Nimrod appears, nabs the Quad and chains me, I OVERFLOW ! SHITE. Without me and Castor against him Nimrod got all the remaining Quads and ran up a cricket score in the last 5mins. ThundaHart jumped in but had little chance against a rampant Nimrod. Ah well, now to our choice of map. TRDM06 We thought we had a good tactical setup for this level now, and most things worked quite well, we knew we'd beat HOOD on it, just weren't sure how close it would be. Pity Nimrod didn't play in this one as we wanted a real test on it. As it was we had little trouble controlling the quad and gave their HPB's a real hard time. Railden managed an excellent percentage, but didn't do it in the correct area. No point l33ting around the place while the rest of your team gets hammered. Which is what he seems to have done. If he had reacted to our quad control and started trying to help there the scores would have been much closer. Not that we mind of course :)
|
22-07-99 : q2dm1 Talos had his first chance to impress here, and coming out on top with 71% was impressive, considering his ping was double the norm. YD had conn problems, but having said that both Talos & ThundaHart are UK based too, so it wasn't all one sided. Good play all round with both our LPB's doing our best work. |
